Sidhoba Temple, Sadale Madale

Sidhoba Temple (Temple of Lord Shiva) is atop the peak of a hill. Both the peak and the tiny outline of the temple are visible even from Kolhapur city and some part of the National Highway Number 4 (which is closer to this area).

As you start driving towards Nisarg Resort, the view of the peak and the temple becomes clearer and clearer. Both of them, as if accompany you till you reach the resort.

Lord Shiva is one of the Three Deities in Hinduism: The three deities are Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva.

Walking up the steps for about 15 to 20 minutes leads you to the top of the hill. It is a proof that you have got the real stamina and strength to reach this height. Sometimes some of you might have to call the reserves of stamina. But it’s worth when you reach the top of the hill.

Once you reach the peak, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding area. If weather permits and if the sky is clear, you can admire the stunning view of Kolhapur city.

Inside the Sidhoba Temple, there is a Shiva Lingam (an oval shaped stone structure) and there is a steady stream of holy water (called ‘Abhishek’ in Sanskrit language) keeps on falling on the Shiva Lingam. Here, immerse in deep meditation. Be one with your own real, inner existence and seek the blessings of Lord Sidhoba.
